Good evening! This is sou7. Continuing from Day 4 of the Nanasaba 1st Season Development Diary, I would like to introduce you to the world of Nanasaba 1st Season and the country of Nanairo.
Nanairo National Railways Makasa Main Line
The Makasa Main Line departs from Masaba Station in Masaba Prefecture, Masaba City, the capital of the country, and connects to Makasa Central Station in Makasa Prefecture, the central city of the Southwest Region.
Two types of services are available: local trains and express trains. In the future, limited express trains are also planned. Local trains terminate at Hareba Station, while express trains run from Masaba Station to the final stop at Makasa Central Station.
Here is the express train “Makasa.” It boasts a grand formation of six long passenger cars and one mail car. So cool!
Stations and City Introductions
Now, let’s introduce the stations and cities along the Makasa Main Line.
Masaba Station
This is Masaba Station, the starting point of the line. It is located on the southern side of the city and features a large dome-roofed platform with four platforms and six tracks. Additionally, the underground Suzaku Avenue Line of the Teito Rapid Transit Authority runs here, allowing for transfers.
Haruho Station
The next stop after Masaba Station is Haruho Station in Haruho Prefecture. As introduced in yesterday’s diary, the station was built on reclaimed land over an embankment extending into the sea. The city is also served by the Teito Rapid Transit Authority line, which handles shorter-distance transport compared to the Makasa Main Line.
Haramamase Station
Skipping a few stations, next is Haramamase Station in Wajou Prefecture. A branch line, the Haramamase Port Line, extends from here to Haramamase Port. From Haramamase Port, ferry services run to Korega Port on the opposite shore. However, most passengers prefer the Masaba route, leaving the ferry service mainly transporting fresh air.
Hareba Station
This is Hareba Station in Hareba Prefecture, where local train services are split. The station is equipped with sidings to facilitate this operation.
Hangashira Station
Hangashira Station in Hangashira Prefecture is said to have a “Shinkansen-like layout unthinkable for this era,” featuring a modern track arrangement. The station is located in the city center, making it convenient but also posing challenges for future expansion.
Makasa Central Station
After passing through Higashi-Makasa Station on the express train, you will arrive at the final stop, Makasa Central Station. In front of the station, three routes of steam trams operate, providing access to various parts of the city.
Makasa City has a population of 100,000, making it quite large. Makasa Central Station is located on the northeastern side of the city.
Did you enjoy today’s report? That concludes Day 5 of our development diary. Tomorrow, we plan to introduce the national railway trunk lines extending in other directions. See you again tomorrow, and please look forward to Day 6 of the Nanasaba 1st Season Development Diary!
